Subject: [GLOBALGRAD] Call for nominations for Writing Fellows

Graduate School Writing Center
Call for Nominations for Writing Fellows

The Graduate School seeks nominations and recommendations for Writing Fellows to join the Graduate School Writing Center in fall 2015. Writing Fellows are a select group of graduate students who have demonstrated mastery of writing in their disciplines and have demonstrated an aptitude for peer review. Past experience with writing centers and writing consultation is desired, though not essential. Students in engineering, physical and life sciences, education, business, and social sciences are particularly encouraged to apply.

Faculty are invited to make nominations; graduate students may also apply directly.
To be considered as a fellow for fall 2015, please apply by Monday, July 27, 2015.

To apply, graduate students must submit a letter of interest, writing sample, CV, and two letters of recommendation (one from a faculty member and one from the Director of Graduate Studies in the student’s program or department). For more information, see our website<http://www.gradschool.umd.edu/graduate-school-writing-center/apply-be-fellow>.

Please distribute this email to faculty and graduate students in your programs.

Please contact Linda Macri ([log in to unmask]<mailto:[log in to unmask]>) for further information.
