Tables’:
The Emergence and Development of Comparative Achievement Projects”

Oren Pizmony-Levy

Oren Pizmony-Levy is originally from Israel and now at Indiana University
completing his doctoral dissertation. His project began as a history of the
IEA (the 50-year-old international organization that conducts large scale
comparative achievement studies such as TIMSS and CIVED). He has expanded
the work to include other comparative achievement projects (e.g.,PISA) and
to take a critical perspective. He uses social network analysis, among
other methods.
