*Opportunity from Proquest to Attend ALA for Free*

Interested in hanging with thousands of librarians at ALA this summer?

Approximately 25,000 librarians and other information professionals
will be convening in D.C. this summer at the American Library
Association (ALA) Annual Conference June 24-29. Care to join them?

ProQuest is happy to provide Library School Program participants the
opportunity to attend the conference in the role of a “roving
ambassador” as it were. We are the largest exhibitor at ALA and will be
front and center with our popular booth where we’ll greet attendees and
showcase our newest products. In addition we are developing some
promotions and events to ensure our presence is dynamic, engaging and
twitter worthy. Our roving ambassadors will circulate throughout the
conference and exhibit space to help us build excitement and momentum.
Take a moment to learn more about this unique opportunity.

    * When and where will the Conference be held?

The main events will occur Saturday, June 26 – Monday, June 28, generally between 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Most functions will occur at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center, 801 Vermont Place.

    * Is there a cost to participate?

No – ProQuest will provide you with admission to the conference and
meals/meal allowance. This is a great opportunity to meet and network
with people from all different types of libraries … more librarians
attend ALA Annual than any other industry show or conference!

    * What exactly will I be doing?

We’re still making plans but anticipate our roving ambassadors or
“corps” will circulate throughout the Convention Center and perhaps
local sites to build interest in visiting our booth. Don’t worry – we’re
developing a program and events to create excitement and interest in a
dynamic and engaging manner – we won’t have you hawking wares or simply
distributing fliers!

    * Okay, I’m interested – now what?

Great! You can contact me and we’ll discuss details and your
availability. You can reach me via phone at (734)761-4700 ext. 2512 or
email me at [log in to unmask] Please contact me as soon as you’re
able so we can keep you involved as we make our plans

Thank you!
