Hi!
To keep everyone up to date, the Orientation for new Graduate Students
is today from 4-6 pm at the Colony Ballroom. I'm going to be there
(though I need to speak on the panel and help out another group also)
and we have a table reserved for our use and promotion. If anyone would
like to come and sit at the table for us, eat the new graduate student's
food, and listen politely to the speeches*, please feel welcome to
come**. I was planning to have a sign-up sheet there, so we can recruit
any interested students who come by.
Best Regards,
Merle Zimmermann
*They run for the two hours, but if you'd like to come for just part of
it, that would still be a good help. I think the most important time is
probably 5:30-6:30 or so, since it's sure to wind down sometime in
there, and the students generally mill about and visit the separate
tables at that point.
**If you think you might come, and send me a mail too, I'd appreciate
it; then I can plan my sprinting back and forth a bit more in advance.
