Extended abstracts of 500-1500 words are being solicited for sessions in
the area of systems and control (area 10b), with on-line submission
available at http://www.aiche.org. The deadline for submission of
abstracts is November 30, 2006. Below is a consolidated list
of 10b sessions, with chair and co-chair to contact for more
information.

Title: Process and Control System Monitoring
Overview: This session focuses on results in the area of process and
control systems monitoring. Topics of interest include, but are not limited
to: data-driven and theoretical models applied monitoring, statistical
methods for monitoring, design of input signals for these applications,
information quality under conditions of inadequate and/or incomplete data,
monitoring nonlinear systems, monitoring controller performance especially
multivariable controllers and controllers of nonlinear systems.
Applications in nontraditional processes and systems are of particular
interest.

Overview: This session deals with novel applications of process control.
Papers describing real-time implementation of advanced process control are
of higher priority. Papers addressing theoretical problems specific to
certain applications are also of interest.
