On behalf of my co-chair Andreas Linninger, I would like to encourage 
you to submit an abstract to our AIChE 2007 Annual Meeting session 
on "Design of Biological and Pharmaceutical Systems". A description 
of the session is given below. Abstracts may be submitted online at 
aiche.org, and be aware that the deadline for submissions is May 14, 
2007. Thank you for your consideration.

The session will focus on recent advances and future challenges in the 
use of systems engineering tools for the design of biological and 
pharmaceutical systems. These issues include but are not limited to: 
bioprocess optimization and design; bioreactor design; high cell 
density fermentation; cellular processes; high throughput design of 
chemicals and biomaterials; mechanism-based modeling and analysis 
of industrial biological processes, bioseparations, and design for drug 
delivery applications.
