Dr. John P. Congalidis from DuPont  has been selected as the 2010  CAST 10B
(Systems and Process Control) programming coordinator. According to
the CAST
rotation policy, every third year, the program co-ordinator is selected
from industry.

With John's selection, the CAST 10B program co-ordinator list is as follows:

Robert Young, ExxonMobil (2007)
Mayuresh Kothare, Lehigh U. (2008)
Masoud Soroush, Drexel U. (2009)
John Congalidis, DuPont (2010)


Please join me in congratulating Dr. Congalidis for accepting the
responsibilities
of this position. His biosketch is provided below.


John P. Congalidis is currently a Research Planning Fellow with DuPont
Central
Research and Development at the Experimental Station in Wilmington, DE. He
received a Diploma in Chemical Engineering from the National Technical
University of Athens, Greece in 1976 and a PhD in Chemical Engineering from
MIT in 1981. He joined DuPont in 1981 and has had various technical and
supervisory assignments in Research and Development, Manufacturing, and at
the DuPont European Technical Center. He has published several papers in
refereed journals and has been an invited speaker in conferences and
universities in the areas of polymer reaction modeling and process
control. He is
a Registered Professional Engineer in the State of Delaware and the
recipient of
three DuPont Engineering Excellence Awards.
