This note is a reminder for the call of applications for PASI-2008:
Pan American Advanced Study Institute on Emerging Trends in Process
Systems Engineering: Mar del Plata, Argentina, August 12-21, 2008.

Advanced graduate students, postdoctoral fellows and young researchers
from the Americas are invited to apply to attend the Pan American
Advanced Studies Institute (PASI) on Process Systems Engineering on
Emerging Trends, which is funded by the National Science Foundation and
the Department of Energy. The workshop will take place at the Hotel
Costa Galana in Mar del Plata, Argentina, on August 12-21, 2008, and
will consist of lectures and seminars in the areas of:
-    Advanced Modeling Tools
-    Biosystems Engineering
-    Multi-scale Design of New Materials
-    Design and Analysis of Complex Engineering Systems
-    Design of Chemical Processes for Sustainability
-    New Energy Systems
-    Enterprise-wide Optimization

The time allocated for lectures will include exercises, case studies
and/or demonstration of computer tools.

The Pan American Advanced Studies Institute will provide, depending on
the availability of funds, full or partial financial support to eligible
students from the Americas to cover transportation and/or accommodation
(double occupancy) and meals. There will be a fee of $150 upon
acceptance to the workshop. The aim in the selection of participants is
for broad representation of U.S., Canada and Latin American
institutions. There will be a limit of 50 students, with about 50%
coming from the U.S.

2 page CV with list of publications must be submitted (pdf file)
and one letter of reference (preferably PhD advisor) are needed.
