Educational Requirements:Bachelors degree, with a focus on music
strongly preferred. Knowledge of music history and literature.

Position Requirements:Public service experience with basic music
research skills and experience in using MS Office applications.
Previous library and supervisory experience is desirable. Experience
in copy-cataloging and using music software such as Finale and audio
recording applications is preferred. Strong communication and
interpersonal skills are essential as well as attention to detail.
Good work ethic and customer service skills. Ability to communicate
effectively, and work with minimal supervision. Provide leadership in
management of part-time students. Capable of handling multiple tasks
and priorities. Accuracy, attention to detail and good organizational
skills. Show flexibility and willingness to learn new skills and
systems.

Description:The Music Library Specialist assists the Music/Performing
Arts Librarian with the operational aspect of the Music Library,
including oversight of the part-time employees, providing reference
assistance to the music and performing arts collections, and
maintaining the collections, including copy cataloging.
