Responsibilities: The Director of Communications Strategy leads the
development of the NCSU Libraries' internal and external communications
systems, strategies, and policies that facilitate the effective and
dynamic transmission of information about the organization's programs
and services in order to strengthen key relationships with
mission-critical audiences. She or he holds oversight responsibility for
the Libraries' web presence and participates in strategic planning and
assessment, development, production and management of the Libraries'
public website, the staff intranet and other web-related library
resources, ensuring quality of design, an integrated message promoting
services and collections and ease of discovery and use. The Director of
Communication Strategy supervises a team of professionals responsible
for writing, editing, graphics, and production. The position reports to
the Associate Vice Provost for Library Advancement.
