MMS staff collaborate with National Center for Biotechnology Information
(NCBI), Office of Computing and Communications Systems (OCCS) and Lister
Hill National Center for Biomedical Communications (LHNCBC) staff to
develop, test and support PubMedŽ, the NLM Gateway and the Unified Medical
Language System (UMLS), and provide customer service, training (distance
and classroom) and user documentation for these and other NLM systems.
This position requires attention to detail to perform comprehensive quality
assurance review of bibliographic data; use of bibliographic database
resources for data gathering and verification; the ability to perform basic
functionality testing NLM products, such as PubMed; and, the ideal
candidate should possess the ability to multi-task.
