John MacGregor receives the Nordic Process Control Award
--------------------------------------------------------------

The Nordic Process Control Award is awarded for lasting and significant
contributions to the field of process control.
The tenth recipient of this award is Professor John F. MacGregor from
McMaster University in Canada
for his groundbreaking contributions to the theory and use of
statistical methods for process monitoring and optimization.
The award was presented to Professor MacGregor on January 29, 2009
during the 15th Nordic Process Control Workshop held in Porsgrunn, Norway.
The title of his inspiring award lecture was "Latent Variable Methods in
Process Systems Engineering".
