There are still a few seats left in the free upcoming iSchool Student Technology Workshop, Wednesday, April 29th at 5:00 p.m.
This week’s topic is “Initial thoughts on using Second Life and the effect it is having in the education community” presented by Amelia Nuss.
“This will introduce Second Life through a Power Point presentation and a demonstration. First time and novice users will learn how higher education and government agencies are using Second Life for seminars, classes and recruitment. There will be discussion on aspects of Second Life such as the PC requirements needed to run Second Life, the controversy over using Second Life, and an introduction of Teen Second Life. There will be a demonstration on how to access and get started in Second Life. “
