The Claude Moore Health Sciences Library at the University of Virginia
seeks a dynamic individual to enhance library services and information
management through the integration of next generation Web technologies
and beyond! This is a two-year faculty appointment with the possibility
of a third year. While the ideal candidate will have a strong curiosity
and experience with emerging technologies and its application in a
health sciences library environment, new graduates and career changers
are encouraged to apply. As a member of the Library Technology Services
and Development department, this position is responsible for
coordinating projects between the Library's staff and the Web
developers. Ability to communicate, collaborate, and integrate is a

Requirements: Excellent interpersonal skills, strong commitments to
service and teamwork, the ability to manage multiple priorities in a
changing environment. Ability to learn new software and technology
quickly and to manage projects related to Web development and
implementation. Master's in Library Science or related degree required;
must be ALA accredited.
Preferred: One-year work experience in a library environment or academic
setting, specifically using Web technologies for user services.
Knowledge of issues, trends and technologies relevant to the health
sciences environment, particularly those that affect health sciences
libraries.
Compensation: Salary is $45,000/yr minimum; excellent benefits and
