Cataloging Project!
TRAK Records & Library has an immediate need for A CATALOGER to work on a long term digitization project. This position is with a great company conveniently located in Washington, DC, is metro accessible and in the heart of a great neighborhood! This cataloger will perform original cataloging for print materials and monographs using OCLC and Voyager (familiarity with these systems is preferred). An MLS degree is required, as well as 8-10 years of recent original cataloging experience, and working knowledge of AACR2, MARC format, and LOC classifications and subject headings. The ideal cataloger should be able to work well independently, as well as on a team, and have a current awareness of trends in the field. This is a great opportunity to keep busy after retirement, or build your growing Library resume!
