POSITION VACANCY
INFORMATION DELIVERY SERVICES LIBRARIAN: This position is responsible for: performance planning, management, and evaluation of 4 classified staff; the overall management of the Interlibrary Loan & Document Delivery Services unit; developing and maintaining effective data reporting and analysis programs designed to assist the Head of Access Services and other library areas; participating as a subject bibliographer for assigned disciplines; participating as a member in the Access Services department to plan, develop and implement programs to enhance operational and service effectiveness and to ensure optimal workflow and problem resolution; developing professional knowledge and contributions; and contributing library outreach activities such as training and orientation sessions targeted at student and faculty audiences.
QUALIFICATIONS - Required: ALA-accredited MLS; interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal); evidence of user-centered vision, creativity, and innovation; knowledge of advanced library research techniques, strategies and resources; analytical, organizational and problem solving skills; knowledge of current trends and issues in interlibrary loan and document delivery; supervisory experience; recent library work experience; experience in and commitment to providing quality customer service; recent experience working with automated library systems; record of continuing professional development. Preferred: Interlibrary loan experience; experience with ILLiad and/or OCLC WorldCat Resource Sharing system; experience with collection development; knowledge of library-related copyright issues.
SALARY AND BENEFITS: Minimum: $53,000. Excellent benefits package.
