The District of Columbia Public Library (DCPL) is a vibrant center of

The DC Public Library is currently seeking dynamic, creative,
collaborative library professionals to fill the following positions:
BRANCH MANAGERS
Experienced, innovative managers are needed to manage the branch
operations and community outreach in one of the full service
neighborhood libraries. ALA-MLS degree +2 yrs of specialized experience
required.
FT/PT CHILDREN’S LIBRARIANS
Responsible for reference, readers’ advisory, programming, outreach,
and other duties to support library operations. ALA-MLS degree,
professional knowledge of library services to children and youth
required.
FT/PT LIBRARIANS
Responsibilities include reference & advisory services, programming &
outreach in its neighborhood libraries. ALA-MLS degree + exp with
adult/children required.
FT/PT LIBRARY TECHNICIANS
Responsibilities include circulation/registration and shelving
materials. Minimum of 1 yr. exp. in clerical/office work & 1 yr.
specialized exp. in a library or minimum of 2 yr course of study in
subject closely related to the position.
FT/PT LIBRARY ASSOCIATES
Assist professional librarians with library services to customers.
Bachelor’s degree + 2 years of specialized experience in a library,
bookstore or educational setting required.
