* The FDA Biosciences Library (FBSL) provides scientific, medical,
technical, regulatory, and managerial information to the entire FDA
community, matching information needs with information resources.
* The FBSL contains a research collection of national significance
covering biologics, biomedicine, pharmacy and pharmacology, devices and
radiological health, food science, cosmetics, toxicology, and FDA laws
and regulations.
One or more positions may be filled using this vacancy announcement.
MAJOR DUTIES:
Complete literature searches of moderate difficulty on
diverse topics.
Coordinate the daily activities of the document delivery and
interlibrary process
Consults with and advises researchers on search strategies
and research issues.
Utilize a variety of information resources, including
PubMed, EMBASE.com, DialogSelect, Web of Knowledge, Science Direct, etc.
Participate in and/or lead FBSL training and outreach
activities.
Respond to in-person, phone, and/or electronic requests from
customers.
Staff the public services desk.
