The Department of Justice Libraries are providing an unpaid internship
opportunity to a library science student who is interested in gaining
collection development experience in a law library. We are seeking one
or more interns for several projects for the library that supports the
work of the Criminal, Civil and Civil Rights Divisions.
Specifically, one project would involve analyzing the library collection
to identify titles that are available in both print and electronic
formats. Based on format and pricing information, the intern will make
recommendations regarding the future purchases of certain titles.
Another similar project would involve analyzing current title orders for
the 3 divisions referenced above to identify titles that are available
in both print and electronic formats. Based on format and pricing
information, the intern will make recommendations regarding the future
purchases of certain titles.
Intern(s) must be a motivated, self-starter who can work with minimum
supervision. Intern must be willing to work 10 to 20 hours per week.
