Branch/Reference Librarian
Chattahoochee Valley Libraries seeks an entry-level Librarian who is
excited about library service, and is especially passionate about
reaching the underserved in the community.
This individual will join an excited team known for creating a welcoming
environment, delivering award winning service, fostering customer
loyalty and attracting new users to the system.
The successful candidate will be required to lead, provide reference
service - in person, by phone and electronically, assist with collection
maintenance, teach computer and job search skills that move users to
self-sufficiency, set work priorities and schedules, collaborate to
identify service needs and develop solutions to move the library system
forward. Must invite and embrace positive change.
Minimum requirements include a Master of Library Science degree from an
ALA accredited program, public service experience, exceptional computer
skills, strong oral and written skills, and knowledge of current library
technology and trends.
Salary will be based on qualifications and experience - starting level
$38,000. Close February 5th

Children's Librarian
Chattahoochee Valley Libraries seeks an entry-level Children's Librarian
for the Columbus Public Library. The successful candidate will have a
knowledge and passion for children's materials and services, a
customer-focused philosophy of service and a demonstrated ability to
work effectively in a team environment.
The Children's Librarian's responsibilities include planning and
performing high- quality programs for ages birth to 11, promoting
children's service in the community, providing reference and readers
advisory service - in person, by phone and electronically, and
contributing content for the Digital Branch (under construction). A
positive attitude is a must.
Minimum requirements include a Master of Library Science degree from an
ALA accredited program, public service experience, exceptional computer
skills, strong oral and written skills, knowledge of children's
literature, and knowledge of current library technology and trends.
Salary will be based on qualifications and experience - starting level
$38,000. Close February 5th
