BioMedical Librarian Center of Excellence



The Center of Excellence Biomedical Librarian provides leadership in the
development of the COE Resource, Instruction and Support Center at the A.R.
Dykes Health Sciences Library supporting the goals and objectives of the COE
grant.  The responsibilities of the individual in this position include 1)
selecting and purchasing high-quality print and non-print materials which
address issues of health disparities, health information literacy, cultural
competencies, and other resources that would support students and faculty
who are direct participants in the Center of Excellence; 2) providing
training and instruction in the tools and applications that will facilitate
student success; and 3) providing outreach programming to the community via
public libraries, Safety Net clinics, community organizations related to
topics such as health policy, cultural competencies, health literacy.
