Associate/Senior Associate: Environmental Information
Stratus Consulting has an opening for a full-time Associate or Senior Associate located in our Washington, DC office to work in our growing environmental information practice. Our main client is the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). Project areas include environmental information access, management, and collection policy; data and information quality; information system requirements analysis; scientific data management; assessment of environmental indicators; use and capabilities of Web 2.0 technologies; environmental web site assessment; and communication and outreach relating to environmental issues.
} Conducting qualitative and quantitative analyses
} Literature reviews
} Primary research
} Client interaction
} Report writing
} Other duties as assigned.
} Minimum qualifications at the Associate level include a Bachelors degree in environmental policy, public policy, or a related field and one year of experience related to environmental issues
} Minimum qualifications at the Senior Associate level include a Masters degree in public policy, environmental policy, library and information science, or a related field and 3-5 years of consulting experience, including project management experience.
} Experience related to environmental information is preferred.
} Experience working with EPA’s Office of Environmental Information (OEI) and/or Office of Research and Development (ORD) is a plus.
} Strong quantitative and computer skills (including spreadsheets and databases)
} Excellent verbal and written communication skills
} Attention to detail
} Proven commitment to excellence and quality control
} Ability to meet deadlines.
