Help wanted (April1, 2010). Part-time assistant at DC charter preschool(now goes through first grade, and will go up through third). Could start immediately.
At present 26 classes come to the two libraries 9-4 Tues and Wed.; 9-12 Thurs. Schedule is somewhat flexible. Help needed shelving books and entering them in Alexandria catalog. Eventually assistant will be helping classes and checking out books. There is a possibility of a fulltime job here in the future. Salary is negotiable. School is currently down at Navy Yard, reachable either at Navy Yard Metro or at Eastern Market.
Applicant should have an interest in children and children’s literature. Computer and multimedia skills are useful, as is experience with internet searching.
The website http://www.mybookmarks.com/public/librarian will show you Eagle Academy PCS and the catalog of books on Alexandria.
