Day to Day (what a typical day or week look like in this role)
Today, you might be appraising, arranging, and describing archival records to create a global, electronic archive for Whirlpool Corporation's 100th Anniversary. Tomorrow, you may be accepting historical appliances and images from Italy and other Whirlpool locations. And, you may also be conducting research and collecting relevant information to enhance existing records.
What You Will Do
• Performs archival processing activities, including the arrangement, cataloging/description, and preservation of records to create a global, electronic archive in preparation for Whirlpool Corporation's 100th Anniversary celebration
• Accepts, catalogues and positions in-coming archives that range from photographs to large appliances (must be able to lift items weighing up to 25 lbs.)
• Prepares written presentations and reports
• Provides consultation to internal clients
• Performs other duties as assigned
