U.S. News & World Report Information Services is seeking an entry-level content services librarian who is comfortable with web technologies and constantly shifting job responsibilities, including, but not limited to preparing content for delivery to partners, managing editorial contracts, limited research and reference, database management, and training. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who copes well with deadlines, has a good eye for detail, is comfortable setting priorities, is resourceful, organized, and is able to communicate effectively to different stakeholder groups.
Minimum requirements include:
• Masters degree in library science from an ALA-accredited program
• Familiarity with HTML and XML, including the use of Dreamweaver; knowledge of NewsML or PRISM standard preferred
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially Excel); familiarity with Adobe Acrobat
• Research experience with online services, such as LexisNexis
