Project title:
Mathematical Programming for Rational Design of Drug Administration Procedures
Project Description:
The Laboratory for Product and Process Design at the Departments of Chemical
Engineering & Bioengineering, University of Illinois at Chicago, seeks
outstanding candidates for a position as a
Postdoctoral Research Associate (Chemical Engineering)
(Advisor: Prof. Andreas Linninger – Departments of Chemical Engineering and
Bioengineering)
in the area of analysis and design of reaction kinetic mechanisms of
pharmaceutical drugs. Projects include estimation of unknown transport and
kinetic parameters from drug dosing experiments, optimal design of drug
administration procedures using mathematical programming techniques, optimal
control of drug therapies, and whole-body pharmacokinetic models of
therapeutics agents. Interested candidates with experience in mathematical
programming, object-oriented programming, optimization software, or
computational fluid mechanics are especially encouraged to apply. The
position is available immediately.
The staff appointment including the University of Illinois benefits will be
offered for a year initially. Salary will be commensurate with the
qualification of the candidate (app. 34,000 - 40,000 US$). Please send
applications including a curriculum vitae and a list of three references to:
