Federal Semester Internships in Public Service
Interested in an internship with the Department of Health and Human Services or Veterans Affairs? Want to bridge the gap between academics and the real world? Apply now to the Federal Semester Program! This selective, yearlong experience combines a seminar in health policy and a D.C. internship. (The other seminar choices are homeland security, diplomacy and development, or energy and environmental policy.) Professional development workshops teach you the ins and outs of writing resumes and cover letters and hone your interview skills. Trips to D.C. and visits with policy makers provide valuable networking opportunities. For more information, go to www.federalsemester.umd.edu. For best consideration, apply by Monday, March 28.
