Dr. Kerri-Ann Jones, Assistant Secretary of State for the Bureau of Oceans, International Environmental and Scientific Affairs (OES), has just returned from meetings of the UN Commission on the Statues of Women, as well as visits to Kenya and Uzbekistan. Dr. Jones, who holds a PhD in Biochemistry from Yale University, has directed the National Science Foundation’s Office of International Science and Engineering and has served as Associate Director at the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy.
