Description: This session provides information for students considering pursuit of the MD-PhD
degree pathway of the Physician Scientist. The goal of the session is to demystify the MD-PhD
pathway and provide insight for pursuing the dual-degree. A short presentation will describe
features of MD-PhD training, alumni careers, and detailed logistics of the application process.
After the presentation, a panel of seasoned MD-PhD Program Directors and Administrators will
address questions from the audience and be available for one-on-one interactions. This session is
organized by the Communication Committee for MD-PhD Programs of the GREAT Group of the
Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC).
