CAST Award Announcement:

To recognize a student for an oral presentation delivered at the AIChE
Annual Meeting starting this year CAST is establishing the CAST
Director's Student Presentation Award.

A person who presents an oral presentation and was an undergraduate or
graduate student when the abstract was submitted is eligible for
applying for this award. An award can be shared with multiple students
in the case of a tie vote in the awards committee or if multiple
students orally present the winning presentation.
To be eligible, the student must be a member of the CAST division and
present a paper at the Annual Meeting in a CAST-sponsored (or
co-sponsored) session.

The nomination for this award should be made by the student’s research
advisor. Each advisor may submit only one nomination and only members
of the CAST division can nominate students. A student can receive this
award only once.

The criteria of this award will be the quality of the technical
content as described in the abstract, quality of the presentation
slides, and quality of the oral presentation.

Note: This year this award will be combined with the CAST travel
award. The students selected to receive the travel award will be asked
to provide the documents needed (statement of work and power slides)
and considered for the presentation award.
