Job Description: Federal work study student worker will work with the Manager of the Media Room Facility in the Microbiology Building to prepare media and supplies for microbiology courses. Jobs will include: media preparation, pouring agar plates, use of autoclaves for media preparation and media disposal, and setting up the labs for classes. This is not a research position, but it will provide experience in valuable microbiological techniques. This position includes opportunities for engagement with science faculty and graduate students along with participation in the larger mission of the microbiology teaching program. Students who have science background or have completed a course in microbiology and have demonstrated academic success are preferred.  We are looking for a reliable student with good time management skills who is interested in stable employment (15-20 hours each week) with a 2-year commitment. Hours are flexible Mondays to Fridays between 9am and 6pm.
