Postdoctoral position: Fault-Tolerant Model Predictive Control

A postdoctoral fellow is needed for the development of algorithms 
that integrate model predictive control and fault detection and
diagnostic systems, for the design of fault-tolerant control systems. 
The algorithms will be evaluated in a realistic simulation case
study for a refining process with a wide variety of fault scenarios,
process disturbances, actuator and state constraints, and model
uncertainties.

The candidate should have a Ph.D. in chemical, mechanical, control,
or electrical engineering, or a closely related field, with a strong
background in model predictive control and an interest in learning
methods for the design of integrated fault diagnosis systems.
