Responsibilities:
The Process Control Engineer assists a Senior Control Engineer and,
depending on experience, works independently in:
• Providing troubleshooting and technical support for process
control systems
• Designing, specifying, deploying, and sustaining process control
systems on major DCS platforms; includes complex control aspects such as
speed/surge control, ignition/firing controls, overrides, and start-
up/shutdown sequencing
• Designing, specifying, deploying, and sustaining advanced control
systems using SMOC (Shell Multivariable Optimizing Controller) and Shell's
greater process control technology applications
• Designing, specifying, deploying, and sustaining specialized
control systems (e.g. Blending, non-linear control, automated drilling,
batch, etc.)
• Gatekeeping/monitoring process control technology developments
• Providing advice and guidance for Process Control R&D, engineering
standards, and best practices
• Preparing commercial offers and develop business opportunities
which may include participation in marketing and promotion activities


Requirements:


  
• 3-5 years of professional experience delivering or supporting
process control technology
• Oil and Gas industry experience preferred
• BS or higher degree in Chemical or Petroleum Engineering
• Solid background in engineering, as well as significant knowledge
in the fields of process technology, process dynamics, mathematics,
simulation, and technical computing
• Good leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent collaboration and team working skills
• Resilience in the face of change
