The Garden Club of America offers merit-based scholarships, fellowships and awards every year to talented graduate and undergraduate students. Nearly 900 students and scholars have received a GCA scholarship since the first award was given in 1928. Scholarships have been awarded in areas focusing on Botany (including medicinal, tropical and field botany studies), Horticulture, Environmental Science, Urban Forestry, Coastal Wetlands, Native Bird Habitats, Garden History and Design, Ecological Restoration, Landscape Architecture and Desert Studies. The Rome Prize Fellowship in Landscape Architecture for Landscape Architects and the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) McLaren Horticultural Scholarship for graduate students are very competitive and highly prestigious.
Please visit our website: www.gcamerica.org<http://www.gcamerica.org/> for a complete updated list and detailed information. Go to “Scholarship” which will bring up a list of the individual scholarships and their deadlines. If you click on an individual scholarship, you will see whether it is for undergraduates of graduates, a description of purpose and an application or follow-up contact.
