My name is Katherine Leone and I am a graduate from Binghamton University
with a major in Environmental Studies. I am working in collaboration with
Colin Garland, president of the non-profit Global Classroom, large cat
specialist, and guest speaker at Binghamton University, SUNY ESF, and
University of Massachusetts Amherst. We are excited to offer an
opportunity for your students to join us on our annual research safari in
South Africa this summer to study large cats; in particular, lions,
leopards, and cheetahs. The students will assist us in collecting data on
their habitats, distribution patterns, prey availability, and time and
location of kills, as well as filming and photographing these predators.
We were fortunate enough to have students from UMD join us last year and
would like to offer this unique opportunity to other students at UMD. If
you feel it is of value and appropriate for your students, would you be so
kind as to forward this to your list serve in order to assist us in an
effort to reach as many candidates as possible. Thank You.
Respectfully,
Katherine Leone
