Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) invites applications for tenure track faculty
appointments at the assistant professor level in the Howard P. Isermann
Department of Chemical and Biological Engineering. These faculty members will
join the Department at a time of significant growth. New faculty will have the
opportunity to conduct multidisciplinary research associated with a number of
centers on campus, including Future Energy Systems, Biotechnology and
Interdisciplinary Studies, Nanotechnology, and Polymer Synthesis, among others.

Candidates must have earned a Ph.D. (or foreign equivalent) in Chemical
Engineering or in a closely related field. Degree requirements must be
satisfactorily completed by the time appointment begins. In addition, candidates
must demonstrate, through accomplishments, promise of future distinction in
scholarship and education. Successful candidates will have duties that include
teaching in the area of Chemical Engineering; performing research and mentoring
students; and service to the department, Institute and profession.
