Praxair in The Woodlands, TX is currently seeking an Entry level and
Senior level Project Controls Engineer (PCE). Responsibilties will include
but not limited to all aspects of project control and reporting, including
project change management.

Key Tasks & Responsibilities:

•Responsible for monitoring and controlling project expenditure including
verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors and
subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and
properly recorded
•Ensure effective project cost reporting from the creation of WBS with the
use of project management system to monitor the status of all purchases,
invoicing and delivery up to the closure of the project.
•Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project
cost issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work in line
with project objectives
•Attend project meetings and discussions with the project management team
and external clients
•Prepare cost reports (budgets, forecasts, expenditures, commitments) for
the project team and for management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure
that expenditures are kept within the project budget
•Develop monthly expenditure and commitment forecasts
•Provide cost control and planning advice to the project team as and when
required
•Administers the project change control process for their Stewardship area
•Support Project Engineers in developing, reviewing and maintaining
project schedule
•Applies PMI principles in the execution of required tasks and tools
development/improvements
•Undertake any other ad-hoc duties as required to support project team and
the Project Controls Manager

Qualifications and Experience

•Bachelors of Science Degree in Construction Management (preferred),
Engineering, Technology
•Strong Information Technology skills including proficiency with Microsoft
Excel, PowerPoint and Word
•Knowledge in the use of MS Project is highly advantageous
•Adaptability to changing priorities
•Ability to multitask and respond quickly to urgent analysis requests
•Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills, meticulous, mature,
proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative
•Independent worker who is able to work well with minimal supervision
