the Institute for Water Resources (IWR) – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers

water
resources management on an ESRI platform
■Researching mobile app and social media technology for data collection,
emergency management, and water resources management
■Creating web-based desktop/mobile apps using data services to meet
agency
missions
■Teaching and presenting new ideas and knowledge to colleagues to improve
existing processes through technology

The Institute for Water Resources (IWR) was established to provide the U.S.
Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) with forward-looking research and analyses on
emerging national water resources issues. USACE and IWR, in partnership with
other organizations, make vital contributions to address the nation’s major
water resources challenges and assist agencies in implementing collaborative
approaches to water resources management. IWR is also a recognized UNESCO
International Centre for Integrated Water Resources Management. Additional
information on IWR projects and the Corps can be found at the following
websites: http://www.iwr.usace.army.mil/ and http://www.corpsresults.us/.
