resource for thousands of engineers around the globe. Heralded as the
industry standard in many process areas, ProMax is the latest generation of
software from BR&E. Built on the foundation of its renowned predecessors,
TSWEET® and PROSIM®, ProMax introduces an improved level of flexibility,
dependability and accuracy unparalleled in the marketplace today.
 
BR&E is currently seeking candidates to fill “Development Engineer”
positions at our company headquarters in Bryan, Texas.

Location: Bryan, TX
Degree Required: Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering
Responsibilities:
1. Participate in the design, development and maintenance of BR&E software,
particularly the ProMax® process simulator
2. Develop and refine modeling and numerical tools for new simulation features
3. Develop and test applications for BR&E software
4. Integrate various software components with one another (e.g. GUI)
5. Draft and review technical documentation

Skills Required:
1. Solid background in chemical engineering principles, particularly
thermodynamics,transport phenomena, kinetics and mathematics
2. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
3. Knowledge of and experience programming with C, C++ and/or Visual Basic
4. Strong interpersonal skills
5. Capacity to tackle multiple assignments simultaneously with minimal
supervision

Skills Preferred:
1. Familiarity with Microsoft development tools and methodologies including
Visual Studio.Net and the Win32 Platform SDK
2. Knowledge and experience in programming with MFC, Visual Basic and COM
3. Experience with development on multiple Windows platforms
