Robert Wood Johnson Foundation Launches Data for Health
The Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) launched Data for Health (http://www.rwjf.org/en/about-rwjf/newsroom/newsroom-content/2014/10/RWJFLaunchesInitiativetoAccessHowDataCanBeUsedtoImproveHealth.html), an initiative to assess how data can be used to improve health. The initiative is led by an advisory committee co-chaired by AMIA member David A. Ross, ScD, Director, Public Health Informatics Institute. Other members sitting on the advisory committee are Karen S. Martin, RN, MSN, FAAN, Health Care Consultant; David McCallie Jr., MD, Senior Vice President for Medical Informatics, Cerner; and Ida Sim, MD, PhD, FACMI, Professor of Medicine, University of California, San Francisco.
