Hello iSchoolers,
I'm looking for someone to take on a technology project for the American Chemical Society Publications.
Early this year we announced a new set of policies around Open Access publications (http://acsopenaccess.org). In order to measure our success, we want to know how often & where our Open Access articles are being hosted around the Internet. So, we're looking to use a combination of public search engines and crawling of well known repositories to produce regular reports.
This project will require knowledge of Search Engine APIs, system configuration for any software tools used (Open Source tools preferred), and strong programming & database skills.
If you're interested in this project, please contact me directly with a list of your qualifications. You must be able to work in the US as an independent contractor.
Thanks,
Jeff Lang
