Subject: JIFSAN Risk Program– Student Assistant Position
Description:
JIFSAN is a University of Maryland unit and jointly administered
multidisciplinary research and education program and includes research
components from the FDA Centers for Food Safety and Applied Nutrition and
Veterinary Medicine, and the University of Maryland. JIFSAN is looking for a
student to provide date entry and clerical support to the JIFSAN Risk
Program. Individuals should have knowledge of standard office practices and
be willing to assist with the input and analysis of data.
Responsibilities:
• Update and maintain spreadsheets and databases
• Word Processing
• Assist with copying, mailings and other clerical duties as needed.
Qualifications:
• Immediate level knowledge of Excel
• Working knowledge of MS Office 2013, Word, and Outlook
• Ability to learn proprietary database
• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines
• Self-motivation and a sense of initiative
Students may be asked to assist with other projects as needed. This position
is available immediately and will be full time during the summer semester
(30-40 hours per week). Must be able to commit 15-20 hours per week during
