The Second Joint FOCAPO/CPC Conference will take place January 8-12,

2017 at the Loews Ventana Canyon, Tucson AZ. The program includes



Pre-conference workshops on Process Operations and Model Predictive

Control, a plenary session and a welcome banquet on Sunday January 8.



Nine parallel oral sessions on process operations and control.



Five joint oral sessions and two joint poster sessions with discussions.



Many joint panels, discussions, and time to explore the surroundings.



Banquet on Wednesday evening and closing sessions Thursday January 12.



You are all invited to submit a paper to the poster sessions.



May 31, 2016: Submission of an extended abstract or draft paper for

preliminary review. Decisions on suitability expected by June 15.



July 30, 2016: Full papers due. Reviews are expected by September 30.



October 31, 2016: Final papers due.



Any paper falling within the scopes of operations and control will be

considered. Young researchers from industry, research labs, and

academia are encouraged to submit papers that challenge established

paradigms, provoke discussion and stake out future directions within

their chosen fields. Some may be selected for oral presentation.
