Dear CMNS students,



Applications are open for the 2016-17 Maryland Space Grant Scholarships,

with a deadline of May 15:

These scholarships are awarded to full-time STEM majors who are

considering working for NASA or other aerospace-related careers.

Applicants must be Maryland residents (or graduates of a MD high school)

and U.S. citizens.  Eligibility requirements also include a 3.0 GPA or

better.  A record of community service is preferred.  Awards are

typically in the $2k-$5k range and must be used for educational expenses

(tuition, books, fees, and room and board).  The award is for one year

and is renewable annually.



Historically, relatively few students have applied for the scholarship,

so it is worth your while to apply if the scholarship seems appropriate

for you.
