Subject: AGNR Summer Research Opportunity PAID Internship- for rising Juniors
and Seniors

Description:
The College of Agriculture of Agriculture and Natural Resources (AGNR) at the
University of Maryland, College Park is currently recruiting our 2018 Summer
Research Opportunity Program (SROP) cohort. SROP promotes research in the
agricultural, environmental, nutritional and food sciences while providing
underrepresented students an opportunity to develop research skills, learn
about doctoral training, and establish relationships with AGNR faculty and
graduate students.


Program Dates: 8-week program running from June 2, 2018 - July 27.

Program Provides: Roundtrip airfare, room and board on campus, and a campus
meal plan

Stipend: $2700

Application deadline: March 30

Projects/research activities vary based on the expertise of the faculty
mentor to whom the intern is assigned. Disciplines commonly providing
opportunities include Animal and Avian Science, Agricultural and Resource
Economics, Plant Science, Landscape Architecture, Nutritional Science, Food
Science, Entomology, Environmental Science and Technology; and Veterinary
Medicine.
