All,

Just a quick reminder that the submissions are open for FOCAPD 2019 (see focapd.org). The conference will be held at Copper Mountain, Colorado, July 14-18, 2019. We will have an exciting program of invited speakers addressing topics of high performance computing, agile and modular design, and machine learning and design amongst other topics. We hope you will be able to join us.

Note that the conference will have a special session in honor of Professor Roger Sargent. Also, the conference coincides with the 50th anniversary of CACHE, who will be holding an event near Copper Mountain immediately following the conference. As with previous FOCAPD meetings, in addition to the invited presentations, we will have three contributed poster sessions Monday-Wednesday evenings that have provided a great venue for discussion and connection.

For this conference, we are accepting 6 page papers or 2 page extended abstracts, and the deadline is December 1st, 2018. The papers will be published as an ISI indexed book volume in the Computer Aided Chemical Engineering (CACE) series to which you will have access after the conference.

If you are interested in getting involved, there will also be a FOCAPD 2019 Planning / Update meeting at AIChE next week. This meeting is scheduled from 6:45 PM - 7:15 PM on Monday, October 29, 2018 in Room 407 of the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. (This is immediately following the 10A and 10C programming meetings in the same location.)

Hope to see you in Copper Mountain!
