Dear Colleagues:

The 9th Annual Eigenvector University Europe will run
October 7-11, 2019. Once again we’ll be in Montpellier,
FRANCE, at the lovely Courtyard Marriott.

Registration is now open! EigenU Europe starts with a
three day basic chemometrics block and is followed by
individual specialty courses on Thursday and Friday.

Thursday’s course on Hyperspectral image analysis will
cover methods for image exploration, e.g. PCA and curve
resolution, image regression, texture analysis and
particle analysis.

The Nonlinear Methods course on Friday covers ANNs, SVMs
and LWR, as well as our recently added Boosted Regression
and Classification Trees, XGBoost. Hierarchical models
will also be considered.

All courses will be hands-on using our MATLAB based
PLS_Toolbox and MIA_Toolbox or standalone Solo+MIA.

Here’s the schedule with links to the outlines for
each of the modules.

Monday October 7 through Wednesday October 9
Linear Algebra for Chemometricians
Chemometrics I-Principal Components Analysis (PCA)
Chemometrics II-Regression & Partial Least Squares (PLS)
Advanced Preprocessing for Spectral Applications
Variable Selection

Thursday October 10
Hyperspectral/Multivariate Image Analysis

Friday October 11
Nonlinear Methods for Regression and Classification
