Dear Colleagues,

Thank you for your hard work in promoting the Call for Abstracts over the last few months. We have been closely monitoring abstract submissions throughout this process, especially in light of the COVID-19 pandemic.

At this time, we have determined that the Call for Abstracts Deadline for the 2020 Annual Meeting in San Francisco, CA will be extended to *Thursday, April 30*.

This new deadline has been updated in all promotional emails and on AIChE’s website. Please make sure to inform your colleagues and potential speakers of this new deadline. Submissions can still be accepted via this link: www.aiche.org/annualcfa <http://www.aiche.org/annualcfa>.

Please note that the CfA extension also includes some adjustments to the technical program planning timeline.

The *updated timeline* for completion of the technical program is as follows:

*Friday, May 29, 2020 *– Chairs Accept/Reject Abstracts & Order Sessions

*Monday, June 22, 2020 *– Draft Program Available for Review

*Monday, June 29, 2020 *– Comments from Chairs Due

*Tuesday, June 30, 2020 *– All info in Confex for Invited Sessions & Plenaries

*Monday, July 6, 2020 *– Final Program Posted

We encourage all to continue to submit abstracts or register for upcoming AIChE events as we have relaxed our cancellation policy. This means that participants can continue to submit abstracts and register for our conferences and events without having to worry about registration fees should they not be able to attend, as they can cancel for any reason up to five days before the event.
