In the collaborative research project "LD-SODA: Learning-based Data Analysis - Stochastics, Optimization, Dynamics and Approximation" of HAW-Hamburg und University of Hamburg, funded by the State Research Funding Hamburg, a full-time research position (postdoc or PhD) is available for 2,5 years, starting on November 2020. The salary according to TV-LE 13 will be probably more than 4000€ depending on your qualifications. The candidate will develop new algorithms and theory for large-scale deep learning using modular neural network architectures and new column generation methods. We expect that you have a strong background in algorithms for machine learning and optimization and in software development (Python). We offer a nice working atmosphere within a recently founded team of researchers of the HAW-Hamburg and University of Hamburg.
