Subject: Ask the Experts: Redefining Health with UMD AMWA & Rock Recovery

Description:
National Eating Disorders Awareness Week is this month (Feb. 22-Feb. 28)! You
are invited to join Rock Recovery and the University of Maryland's American
Medical Women's Association chapter for an open discussion with professionals
about how your relationship with food affects your health - mentally,
physically, and emotionally. You can register on our Eventbrite for free.
https://www.eventbrite.com/e/ask-the-experts-redefining-health-with-rock-recovery-umd-amwa-tickets-138948928987

Over 28 million people will have an eating disorder in their lifetime, and
millions more will be struggling with disordered eating and body image.
Despite these critical numbers only 1 in 10 people will get the help they
need due to barriers like cost, accessibility, and stigma.
We want to break down some of those barriers and talk about this important
mental health issue. This is your chance to ask the experts the hard
questions about disordered eating and how a person's relationship with food
and their body really makes an impact on their quality of life.
So what do you want to know?
- What are the warning signs?
- How do I know if I am living healthy?
- What does Health At Every Size mean?
- How does a medical practitioner determine if a patient is struggling with
an eating disorder?

Join us on Wednesday, February 24th from 6 pm to 7 pm EST as we dive into
these questions and more to raise awareness of this critical mental health
issue. Registration is free - just bring your questions!
